Education: John earned his masters degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of Minnesota in 1985, with internships at the U of MN and at Human Services, Inc. He earned his masters in teaching in 1972 at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
Credentialing: Licensed Psychologist
Areas of Practice: Nearly 25 years of outpatient psychological assessment and psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families. Clients range in age from first graders to end of life. Clinical interests in Cognitive-Behavioral therapy for anxiety and anger, Schema Therapy for focused adult change, Gottman Therapy for couples relationships, recovery from sexual abuse trauma, management of serious/persistent mental illness, Positive Parenting, and ADHD symptom management for children and adults. Nonclinical interests in cycling, music, spirituality, and baseball.

Education: Dr. Suvalsky received her M.D. from the University of Wisconsin- Madison Medical School in 1990. She completed her residency in Psychiatry at the University Hospital and Clinics in Madison, WI in 1997 after studying obstetrics and gynecology for a period of time.
Credentialing: Board Certified in Psychiatry
Area of Practice: Office-based care of adults and older adolescents who present with all diagnoses.

Clinical interests in depression, generalized anxiety, panic, social phobia (extreme shyness), post-traumatic stress disorder, and relationship problems, including couples communication/ conflict resolution, codependency, delayed emancipation of young adults, impact of chronic illnesses, recovering from extra-marital affairs and coping with rebellious teens. Also offer ADHD screenings for individuals (age 6 through adults) and follow up educational/ behavioral treatment. |
